Water Pump
Several hand-operated water pumps could be found along the village before a water supply for the area came into operation in 1911. Only one survived and it was renovated in 2022, although it no longer funtions. The gap between the houses opposite the pump is what was to be one end of a second village street.

Strynie
Previously known as Jubilee Cottage. To the left is an entrance to what was intended to be a second street in the village.
